Privacy policy
Last updated 26 September 2026. This page explains what happens to the details you send through this website.
Who is responsible
This website belongs to Sherine, an independent Arabic teacher based in Lebanon ("Arabic with Sherine"). You can reach her at hello@arabicwithsherine.com.
What we collect and why
When you send the request form, we keep: your name, email address, WhatsApp number, country, time zone, the lesson you asked for, your level and goal, the times that suit you and your message. We use them only to reply to your request and arrange your lessons. The legal basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form, and the steps needed before an agreement for lessons.
To stop abuse of the form, we also keep a one-way fingerprint of your IP address (it cannot be turned back into the address) and the type of browser you used.
Who sees your details
Only Sherine. Your request is emailed to her and stored in the website’s private dashboard. The website host and the email service process the data on her behalf. Nothing is sold or shared for advertising.
How long we keep them
Requests are kept while you are a student and for up to two years after the last contact, then deleted. You can ask for deletion at any time.
Cookies and statistics
The site sets two technical cookies: one keeps your visit’s session, one protects the form against forged submissions. Both are needed for the site to work and are deleted when you close the browser or after two hours.
To know which pages are useful, the site counts page visits, form submissions and WhatsApp button clicks per day. These counts contain no cookie, no IP address and nothing that identifies you.
Videos load from YouTube (privacy-enhanced mode) or Vimeo only when you press play.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your details, or withdraw your consent, by writing to hello@arabicwithsherine.com or on WhatsApp. If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom you may also complain to your data protection authority.
